Jim was raised in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at a very early age. Despite his parents divorce and his own struggles with sin he was always aware of God working in his life. His dad Roger as well as his uncles, Al and Robert, all made a spiritual impact in his life. After High school Jim’s dad sent him to Shasta Bible College for one year. While Jim had privately considered the ministry before it was during this first year of college that the Lord really burdened him to make a decision. Therefore he made a commitment to prepare for the ministry by going back to College and continue on to seminary. During his second year of college Jim met his wife Jennifer and they were married the following summer. He continued his schooling and received a B.A. in Bible and Theology from Shasta Bible College. He started working towards his M. Div. at The Masters Seminary and graduated from the Cornerstone Seminary in 2007. Jim taught beginning Greek at the Cornerstone Seminary for three years, and also interned at Faith Bible Church in Merced for a short time. He has been ministering in the North state since 2005. He began at Proberta Community Bible Church and then has been ministering as an Elder at Grace Community Bible Church since it’s founding. Jim is currently the main teaching and preaching Pastor. He is also involved in short-term mission trips to train pastors in the Philippines at a seminary there. Jim and his wife Jennifer have six children, Ethan, Elizabeth, Andrew, Joseph, Benjamin, and James.
